Meet the Educator Behind Birdie.
Hi! I'm Lydia, the founder and educator behind Birdie Learning Academy.
I started Birdie after recognizing how overwhelming homeschooling can feel, especially for families just getting started. Between choosing curriculum, planning lessons, organizing resources, and figuring out what comes next, there's a lot for parents to navigate.
I wanted to make that process easier by giving families a clear path forward. For parents who want to take the lead in teaching their children, Birdie provides organized lessons, learning resources, and guidance so they don't have to plan everything from scratch. For families who would benefit from additional teaching support, Birdie Clubhouse offers live instruction and more individualized academic guidance while parents remain actively involved in their children's education.
With a Bachelor's degree in Biology, graduate studies in Child and Adolescent Psychology, and experience supporting children with diverse learning needs, I bring both academic knowledge and practical experience to Birdie's educational approach.
My goal is to make homeschooling more manageable and supported while preserving the flexibility that makes homeschooling special.
