Mini-Book Review: Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty

Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, is one was of my personal favorite books from The Questioneers Picture Book Collection.

The book touches on a common problem most people will encounter… DISCOURAGEMENT! Specially when it comes to pursuing a passion of ours.

I even quoted this book when I was having a conversation about work, lol

My favorite lines from this book were:

  1. “Your brilliant FIRST FLOP was a raging success…on to the next,” and,

  2. “The only true failure can come if you quit.”

I believe it is an amazing message for kids to absorb early. It also gives us some vocabulary (as it did for me, lol!) about what to say when we are in this situation. For example, we can use, “first flop,” when speaking on a tests or an art project or learning how to jump rope.

Kids are in a constant state or learning so it opens them to lots of potential “flops.”

This book gives us a great example of the mindset or attitude we can choose to have.
